I couldn't quite understand how, especially since the new tokenomics offers MORE rewards, not LESS. Magic Internet Money doesn't come from nowhere. For every reward, someone has to pay for it. Right now it appears to me that the people footing the bill are new customers who are buying "PLU" tokens to get higher reward levels. Or at least that's my opinion.
